An opportunity presents itself for a progressive Sharemilker to take on the operation of the Haerepo Trust farm just 15 minutes south of Te Awamutu. The existing sharemilker has been on farm for 29 years and a strong relationship exists between the parties. However, the Sharemilker has now taken the opportunity to hang up the boots and focus on their other ventures.
- Milking Platform – 290ha effective milking platform primarily flat to rolling contour with strong soil fertility,
- Maize grown on farm plus PKE and maize purchased (total feed of 1.0-1.5t / cow)
- Currently total of 900 - 930 cows - split calving 200 Autumn / 700 Spring (flexible),
- 23/24 season record production of 370,044kg MS,
- Excellent infrastructure including 50 bail rotary, feedpad with floodwash, weeping wall etc
- Five well maintained houses.
The farm is currently utilising Halter and the Trust remains open about using this in the future.
