If you’re looking for a rewarding role in a thriving dairy operation, this could be the perfect opportunity! Our client is seeking a Farm Manager or 2IC to assist with daily operations and contribute to the ongoing success of their well-established 220ha dairy farm near Piopio.

Operating as a System 1-2, the farm milks 520 cows in two main herds through a 46-aside herringbone shed with an automatic teat sprayer. It follows a pasture-based feeding system, supplemented with bought-in baleage. The property is also equipped with Halter stock management collars, streamlining daily operations.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years dairy farming experience
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • Be reliable and have good time management
  • Have experience and skills in animal health and husbandry
  • Have strong pasture management skills
  • Be able and capable of managing health and safety
  • Take pride and prioritise plant hygiene
