Available is a 50:50 sharemilking position located in the King Country with farm owners that want you to bring your ideas and values to share.
The Farm:
- 214 total hectares being 145 ha milking platform,
- 26 ha heifer grazing
- 27 ha run-off for wintering
- System 2
- Contour is a mixture of flat to rolling with some hill sidelings on the milking platform.
- The heifer grazing block is connected to the milking platform and is of hill to steeper contour.
- 370 spring calving cows wintered
- 27 aside shed with ACR’s and Protrack
- Good farm infrastructure with new calf sheds and a fertiliser bin being latest additions
- Strong fertiliser history and pasture renewal
Accommodation:
- Fully renovated four-bedroom cosy home with double glazing and insulation.
- The second home is three bedroom with an additional sleepout that has been renovated also and new garaging built.
The farm is located within 5 minutes drive to Owhango and is 15 minutes to Taumarunui. There are several primary schools available and secondary schooling in Taumarunui with the school bus stopping at the gate. The area offers a variety of outdoor leisure pursuits including excellent mountain biking, skiing, hunting, and fishing.
The Opportunity:
Our clients are seeking a progressive sharemilker for the 2027 season and onwards for the property that offers the full package of a milking platform, heifer grazing block and a run-off that provides both wintering and supplement support.

- who show good experience at managing cows and grass to achieve targeted production
- has sound communication and verbal reporting skills
- the ability to take ownership of the operational management
